Shogren Performance Marine To Offer Nor-Tech Boats PDF  | Print |  E-mail

To accompany its lineup of Fountain and Baja performance boats, Shogren Performance Marine announced it will be selling models from Nor-Tech Hi-Performance Boats starting in 2010. The Waukegan, Ill.,-based dealership also introduced a fresh look with a new logo that reflects its broader product offerings.

shogrenlogo2010.jpg“Nor-Tech is a premier boat brand known for its craftsmanship,” said Shogren Performance Marine owner Scott Sjogren, who expects the addition to expand his customer base. “(The company) also has a reputation for integrity—a quality our customers have come to expect from us and is a priority at Shogren Performance Marine.”

Sjogren, whose dealership has earned the honor of World’s Larger Fountain Dealership the past five years, is excited to offer Nor-Tech’s performance catamarans and add a third V-bottom brand to its pool. He also plans to sell the 80 Performance Yacht and isn’t ruling out adding other performance brands in the future.

“We are on track for a record sales year in 2009 with Fountain Powerboats,” Sjogren said. “And we are looking forward to another one in 2010. The addition of the Nor-Tech line is the right move at the right time for our customers and our business.”

Nor-Tech, which is based in Fort Myers, Fla., and is well established along the eastern seaboard through a limited dealer base, hopes the new dealership can increase their presence in the Midwest and beyond.

“It makes a lot of sense for us to partner with ‘Team Shogren,’ and it will open a new market for us,” said Terry Sobo, Nor-Tech’s director of sales and marketing. “They have an established customer base, a successful track record and have managed to stay above the fray in the performance-boat industry.”

Sjogren described Nor-Tech’s boats as “big for their size” and called the company’s craftsmanship and attention to detail “impeccable.”

“Nor-Tech is a solid company and is easy to work with—of course, being Norwegian helps,” he said, referring to his shared heritage with Nor-Tech owners Trond Schou and Nils Johnsen.
